I have reached the age of 30 and I have never been to the Circus until now! So when we were offered the opportunity to go, I jumped at the chance!
On Easter Monday we visited Zippos Circus in Blackheath.
I went with a complete open mind unsure what to expect, I mean I secretly hoped Hugh Jackman might be there but I guess that’s high expectations!
As soon as we arrived I could see it was extremely family friendly and we were greeted with a souvenir programme, popcorn, candy floss and some flashy light saver thingys for the girls.
As soon as the show started the girls became mesmerised by the lights, music and atmosphere surrounding us.
The show opened with Norman Barrett MBE who has been performing with them for 21 years!
I have to say though the star of the show for me was Paulo dos Santos, the 3 ft 6 acrobat with brilliant comic skills. He truly lit up the stage! And we met him during the interval, he was very friendly.
My husband particularly enjoyed The Lucius team! Intrepid motorcyclists speeding around a giant globe at 60 mph! It was quite spectacular.
My 4 year old loved all of the girls that did the aerial skills! She said they were beautiful and when we got home she even tried doing it herself.
Mila my nearly 2 year old enjoyed clapping and shouting at everything along with hitting me in the face with her flashing light stick and stuffing her face with popcorn.
I can honestly say, there was something for everyone at Zippos Circus.
We had a fantastic time as a family and I’m sure Alana has gone to pre school today telling everyone all about it. I’m hoping she’ll remember it for a while.
And I enjoyed my first trip to the Circus!
